Midwifery, with woman, the cornerstone of which is the therapeutic alliance: a conscious and caring relationship designed to facilitate the highest level of self care possible. Midwifery, the model for the health care of women. Midwifery has served women since time began, through all the cycles and phases of our lives. Midwifery, an ancient art, enjoying the continual refreshment of the best, if not all, of what science has to offer. Midwifery has served women since time began. Now we must strive to preserve midwifery for the women to come.
