TRUCK No. 11

This truck was originally purchased by the Manville New Jersey Fire Department. It was delivered in 1968. It is a 900 series Aero-Chief 70' platform. The unit has a two section 70' American LaFrance hydraulically operated steel articulated boom type aerial device. The truck is equipped with an Onan gasoline generator which powers floodlights and electrical outlets. There is also a two bottle air cascade system providing breathing air to the platform, and the turntable. The motor is a Cummins Diesel L-10 which develops 300 horse power, it is equipped with a Jacobs engine brake and an Allison HT-740 automatic transmission. This truck was refurbished and repowered with the diesel engine and automatic transmission in 1988.
