Fate smiled down at me today
With piercing eyes and pursed lips
She extended the blood red talons of her hand
And plucked a thread from the tapestry of my life
Twisted and snagged and garish puece
An obstacle as I cavorted along the golden thread
In the distance she replaces your thread
Turning it from perpendicular to skew
Weaving your complicated patterns
A conglomeration of muted colors
With one bright place of golden shimmer
Where I briefly touched your soul
