I have many interests - to name just a few - I am an avid All My Children fan, a Gone With the Wind collector - and I also love country crafting. However, I fear I am becoming a "minioholic"!!!

So how did I get "hooked" on minis you ask! Well - I love to decorate so I thought - why not build a dollhouse - then I can decorate to my heart's content! Little did I know how this venture into the miniature world would literally overtake my life!

The first dollhouse kit I purchased was the San Franciscan by Duracraft. When I opened the box and saw all the parts I knew that this kit was not for me - so I did some research and decided on the Newbury by Real Good Toys. What a difference! It was easy to put together - the challenge was the wiring. At first I wasn't going to wire, but on the advice of many "mini hobbiests", I did it! Now I know how Edison felt! So - for all you beginners who are questioning whether or not you should wire - YES YES YES! It makes all the difference in the world - and really it's not all that difficult- it just takes patience - of which I have very little of so if I can do it anyone can!

This new found hobby of mine has opened up a whole new world to me - I have become a member of several online mini lists and have made some wonderful new friends. It also has inspired me to create my own webpage so I can share my minis!
