The Minotaur's Labyrinth

San Francisco Presidio Military Pet Cemetery

It is enclosed by a white wooden fence, and located on Crissy Field Avenue just south of the Golden Gate Bridge approach bridge, in The Presidio, San Francisco, California, USA. It's toxic (multilingual warning signs announce this fact) not because of random nefarious military alchemy, but from the International Orange lead paint flecks from the ever-droning bridge above. Experts say you'd have to live there and eat the dirt for several months to be affected. The sound of the cars zooming overhead gets spooky real quick. People started buring pets here in 1940.

Pet Cemetery Observation:

  1. Most people don't bury their pets in coffins
  2. Many people plant plants on top of their pet's grave
  3. This makes Giant Healthy Plants growing smack dab in the middle of the graves, sometimes obliterating the grave completely. (!!!)
