Mission Possible was founded by Ralph and Veronica Mueller. It officially
became a non profit organization on May 13, 1983 and received a 501 (C)(3)
IRS status on Dec. 29, 1983.
Invitations from two missionary friends, brought us to Peru the first
time in June of 1978. This experience of extreme poverty changed our lives
foever. Our hearts were given to work with the poor. Our goals were and
still are to help supply the basic necessities of life; food, clothing,
shelter, education, medical and dental care for the poorest of the poor.
By word and example we share the love of Jesus with them. We believe that
true evangelism must minister to the whole person; body, mind and spirit.
We began by building houses for the homeless and initiated the Mission
Possible Foster Program. We adopted the first child ourselvesand soon others
that heard of what we were doing wanted to adopt a child and help a poor
family with a $20.00 donation each month.
Land was donated and we built Mission Possible Centers in Lima and
Chimbote. The Lima center includes The Divine Mercy medical and dental
clinic, a carpenter shop, sewing room, ceramic shop and warehouse space
for bringing in and distributing 40 foot containers of relief goods for
the poor. The second floor provides living quarters for ourselves and guest
rooms for volunteers.
Other activities include working with the gangs in Lima, sponsoring
life giving retreats, building soup kitchens, seting up sewing centers
and many other projects.
