Misty River's current CD "The Fields Daddy Plowed" is 18 tracks consisting of traditional and crossover tunes, compositions by regional songwriters, and several of Misty River's own original contributions. The band's focus is strong vocals accompanied by hard driving instrumental arrangements. Although, their roots always stay true to the Bluegrass sound, there are a few surprise tunes that lien toward the Americana and Country music market. The diversity of the songs on this project was not an endeavor that was intentional in nature. If it felt good, they recorded it! Misty River band members have been known to guest spot with several of Bluegrass's Greats and Non-Bluegrass Greats. Because of her strong and traditional vocal background, band member Lisa Chambers has joined on stage and dueted with Del McCoury, Ralph Stanley, and James King. Larry Sparks joined Misty River on stage and performed his version of "Rock Hearts". Mandolinist, Doug Batchelor, performed an encore presentation with Doc Severinsen and the Knoxville Symphony. Each member of Misty River may prefer their own style, but those individual preferences complement each other when they are searching for something new and interesting for their listeners.
