This is a very large box, 10" x 11 1/2" x 3" with 10 different types of
iridized glass.
The sides are Spectrum Iridized ripple glass, which is very thick requiring
the need for wide copperfoil causing larger seams than normal on my boxes.
Everyone of Spectrum's iridized glass is "reflected" in this box, as
well as a couple from other glass manufacturers. This box was tough
to make, I had to take it apart 3 times and reassemble it to make everything
fit correctly. Spectrum clear Baroque is in the middle
hex on the box top. The lip to the top is 1/2". It has a silver mirror
bottom and a silver safety chain. I have made this box in many
variations and just love it for large bulky necklaces that I can lie down
singly in the box, without fear of entanglement with others. I have
made this in bronze mirror, with Spectrum Cinnamon Baroque sides and forest
greens and brown opalescent and cathedral glass on the lid. I have
made this is shades of blues and purples. I have made this all in one
opalescent glass and then clear glass with engraved names for special
presents.
PRICE $75
Other variations of glass that could be used are complementary colors of mixtures between clear (cathedral) colored glass with opalescent (dense) glasses such as:
