Dorcy Super 1 Watt LED
3 "D" cell LED Flashlight

Available at Target $29.99

The Dorcy "Super 1 Watt" is an LED flashlight that uses a Luxeon Star emitter
driven by 3 D cell alkaline batteries for long run time.  This is a great light for
your car, home or camping/hunting because it's not likely to go dead unexpectedly
because of the large capacity batteries and it's 1 watt Luxeon Star LED is very bright.

The reflector is pretty deep and smooth giving plenty of throw.
This makes a great outdoor medium range light
LED centering is ok, nothing really to complain about for the money.

The bezel unscrews and exposes the star emitter board secured to a heatsink.
It would be easy to replace if you would ever want to do so.  Using the light
without the bezel makes for a good area light, since the tailcap allows you to
stand the light on its end.

The anti-roll hex head is actually a piece of rubber so it can be removed if you don't need it or don't
like the looks of it.  Even with it removed, the tailcap design keeps the light from rolling too much.

The beam quality is good for what this light costs.  It's isn't perfect but it's very good.
The beam is focused well and is nice and tight for plenty of throw with a good amount
of side spill.  Brightness is very good.  The light output is between the Arc4+ at max
output and the Surefire L5.  Beam "style" is like the Surefire L5, just not as smooth.
