Lightwave 4000:

The Lightwave 4000 is a 10 LED light that runs off of 3 D cell batteries.
It makes a great utility light and long running power failure light.  I can run for nearly
48 hours continuously before losing 50% of it's original brightness!

The body of the LW4000 is molded rubberized plastic which gives you a positive non-slip grip.
It comes with a lanyard that attaches to the end of the light.  The on/off switch is located on the
bezel end and works like your standard 3D mag-light switch.

The 10 LED's produce a lot of light and at a wider beam angle than most luxeon star lights,
making it more of a short range flood light.  It easily lights up an entire room!

The LW4000 is huge!  It's a foot long and is on the heavy side but it's long run time more than makes up for it.

Beam comparison photos:

The LW4000 is much brighter than the Opalec Newbeam.  3 LEDs just can't compete with 10!

The Arc puts out more light into a tighter beam but at short range the light output is close.

The A2 is in a completely different class but you can still see the Lightwave running.
