THE ADVANTAGES OF CHARTER, CORPORATE, AND PRIVATE AIR TRAVEL AND TRANSPORT (whether it is using the services of a company or person that offers this, or buying, leasing, or time share in an aircraft (as a company or individual)) + Want or need to go directly to or depart from an airport not served by an airline. + Airport not served by an airline that is closer to destination. + Time will not allow for the additional transportation to a given area from a major airport or other airport served by the airline. + Able to depart from an airport not served by an airline that is closer to home, office, etc. + No airline flight scheduled to meet needed time frame. + No hassle of the airlines. + No wait for a long period of time in a long line. + No long delays (if any). + Taylored to your schedule. + Usually no traffic jams because you can be picked up or dropped off at almost any airport, or if you are going to or from a major airport, the general aviation terminal or fixed base operator is usually located away from the main terminal. + No parking hassles as for the same reasons listed previously. + Personalized service. + Special medical equipment needed for a passenger or patient that an airline can not or will not accommodate for. + Able to bring your own food for the flight or order a meal from a catering service & have it delivered. + No baggage claim waiting or hassles & much less of a chance of theft. Your baggage goes on & comes off the aircraft when you do & is never too far from you as it is taken to the lounge at the fixed base operator, general aviation terminal, taxi cab, rental car, your ride, your car, etc. + Do not have to deal with the crowds at the main terminal. + Flights do not get booked up. + If customs is needed, in many cases, arrangements can be made for a customs agent to meet you at general aviation terminal, fixed base operator, or at the aircraft. + If you are not sharing the flight with another party, it will wait if you are late (& may wait a while if you are sharing the flight with another party) or will go when you show if you are early. + No layovers unless you want one. + Privacy from strangers if it is family, colleagues, group, or club flight. + Very small chance of being seated next to an annoying passenger. + Much less of a chance of "air rage", whether it is committed by an other person or something that makes you that angry. + May be used as a way to get to or from a major airport for an airline flight if where you are or where you are going is quite a distance from the major airport & you do not want to deal with the traffic & parking hassles. + In almost all of the pressurized airliners, the air is recirculated & there is very little or no fresh air coming in. Most of the small or light & medium aircraft, that have pressurization, have a mostly fresh air system of pressurization. (Note : the airliners operated by charter, corporate, & private aviation operations still have the recirculating system.) + The service can be used for local or area scenic flights. + Transportation of goods or items an airline or airline carrier will not carry & ground or boat transportation will take too long. + Transportation of special goods or items that can not be trusted to an airline or airline carrier. + Transportation of sensitive equipment that can not be trusted to an airline or airline carrier. + Immediate delivery of goods, on demand from the closest airport to the closest airport. With most "next day" or "overnight" services, the goods sit in a warehouse for a while, rather than being on the way. In many cases the packages or crates go to a distribution center that is hundreds of miles away from the orgin, destination, & direct route between the two ; this adds more hours to how long it takes to get to the destination. Plus there is the extra time it takes if a major airport is not the closest airport. Expensive ? Not when the cost is divided among passengers (whether it is individuals or a company or organization paying the cost).
