Wot no wand???
The magic faery of operations helping to move bits of 10083. Watch out for the sprinkling of Blaenavon faery dust!
Seriously though, this marked the migration of 10083 from north to south (of the yard anyway) where its restoration will continue.
The Sentinel making her way down to the Bottom Shed for her long awaited restoration. This was on 18 October 2003.
Scrape, talk, scrape, talk seems to be the way things were going. Alex and Paul caught in a scraping session.
Phew! About time, don't you know a lass needs her makeup!
Through the dark smoky shed, something shiny is magically appearing.
Even 10083 gets trimmed up for the Santa Specials weekends - she didn't want to be left out of the fun!
What? Chain driven? Yup, them there are chains ...as verified by the Blaenavon gnome!
... and more chains ...
The gnome he say ...
... yup, it looks like a sump to me!
Say vegan cheese!
Surgical gloves Ang?
Just practicing for her first run out! And also for a special vistor we had that day.
*Waves madly at Colin Girle*
Squinting in the sunlight on 22 February 2004. She's been in the bottom shed all this time, and it was so nice to see her in all her bright colours in the late winter sunshine!
Another view of 10083 showing off in the Sun! Her next outing will be under her own power!
And the bottom shed temporarily emptied. It's now stuffed full again - with 10083 and the NE van.
10083 is having her engine and cab controls worked upon by Arthur, and it is hoped she will soon be running again. The NE van is undergoing the first phase of its restoration.
