You will need...
2 balls of Luster Sheen yarn
(1 each of contrasting colors of your choice)
1 size E crochet hook
3 one eighth or one quarter inch buttons
1 embroidery needle
1 Barbie or similar doll
1 tube of super glue (optional)
Abbreviations
sc-single crochet
dc-double crochet
hdc-half double crochet
ch-chain stitch
st-stitch
sts-stitches
mc-main color yarn
cc-contrasting color yarn
inc-increase
dec-decrease
Note....
For attaching and tying off yarn I like to
stitch the tails of yarn into work.
(Or crochet over them where possible)
At the end of the yarn I put a tiny dab
of super glue to help keep the yarn from
slipping back out later.

alignment when you are stitching.

sc1, ch4, sc1, ch3, sc1, ch2, sc1,
sl st the rest of the way to the bottom of the
bodice opening.
Tie off and break yarn.
Buttons
You can really sew on the buttons any way you would like.
BUT!
Here is how I did it...
Put the dress on the doll to properly position
buttons with loops. Using an embroidery needle,
draw a single strand of yarn through dress from
the inside out, through the button, and back into
dress. Then double knot the yarn pulling ends as
tight as possible. Put a dot of super glue on the
knot. Wait for it to dry and trim ends of yarn.
(Be careful with how much glue you use, you wouldn't
want to glue the dress to the doll haha)
