Arnold Franz Walter Schoenberg was born in Vienna, Austria, on Sept. 13, 1874, and died in Los Angeles on July 13, 1951.
He was not a born musician or composer. When he was 21 years old, his music career started. In 1908, Schoenberg began to establish the 12 tone music and composed some remarkable pieces. Then the Prussian Academy of Arts in Berlin invited him as a professor. His own works are seldom performed, but now many musicians are applying his 12 tone theory for their music creation.
