Why  ModlCitizn  ON-LINE...

Have you ever been involved with a model club publication??  I have.  The biggest problem you face is finding enough quality contributions to fill the pages. Ever try to get your club members to write something???

I belong to two New Jersey clubs... The Tristate Scale Model Car Club and the Jersey Shore Model Car Club,  and became a regular contributor to both clubs' newsletters. My column is known as  "The Model Citizen",  my own  take on the hobby of building model cars. I enjoyed sharing my views with fellow modelers.

Not an issue went by, where I didn't get a phone call or note related to that month's column. I saw that people actually enjoyed what I did!!  Then I noticed that I was getting feedback from people outside of the clubs. We exchanged newsletters with other clubs, who were picking up and running individual "Model Citizen" columns. I was honored.

It recently hit me... Why not do the column on the internet??? Post it out there for all modelers to enjoy and better yet, provide a tool for all of our tireless newsletter editors? Here's a ready made free monthly column for your club newsletter.

Feel free to use it any way you like.... read it on line, print it, download it for later use. There will be A Few Simple Rules....  to follow, but it's absolutely free.
