What should become of the white teacher who teaches the Negro?
1. They should be honored as martyred throng.
2. The successors of the Northern missionary teachers have no useful function in the life of the Negro. The schools can not go forward due to attitudes regarding race hate, segregation and terrorism.
Examples of their attitudes.
1. Whites speak only on campus.
2. A white president of a university never entertained Negroes in his home. Pg. 27
3. A white president of a university does not ware a hat on campus because he would have to tip it to Negro women.The goal of education of the Negro and what should be done.
1. Real education inspires people to begin life as they find it and make it better. Pg. 29
2. Get college proffessors who are progressive teachers as opposed to people 'produced by the degradation of higher education'.
3. Give scholarships to teachers to improve themselves in their chosen sphere. The school systems do not generally send them to get a "darkter's 'gree".Pg. 35
4. "neither Columbia or Chicago can give an advance course in Negro rural education..." pg. 36
5. There is a need for Negro trail blazers in education.
