State Results The State Celebration of Creativity on April 2nd in Manhattan was a big success. Thank you to everyone who helped. A big thank you to all of the appraisers and team managers who worked so hard to make sure the students had a successful experience. Click here to view pictures of the 1st place teams. The 2005 Global Finals will be held at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee this year on May 25 - 28.

Teams going to Globals should also check out the Tournament Travel Guide for Teams. This has infomation on site procedures for each challenge, tips from experienced teams, check lists on what to do and bring, as well as basic rubrics appraisers might be using to evaluate areas such as team work and creative use of materials.

Scholarship The Student Assistance Foundation of Montana is the Sponsor for the Montana Creativity Quest Scholarship - It is with great pleasure that we announce the continued partnership with the SAF. They are continuing to help fund our annual scholarship. With their assistance we are now able to give two $500 scholarship to a graduating seniors who have participated in creative problem Solving for at least two years. - The recipients for our state scholarship were announced at the State Tournament Awards Assembly. This year's winners were Christie Seyfert from Bozeman High School and Adam Elliott from Belgrade High Schoo. Congratulations to Christie and Adam and we wish them continued success in the future. Christie plans to attend Whitman College or MSU and Adam plans to attend the University of Montana. We hope they will continue to share with others what they have learned from creative problem solving. Student Assistance Foundation of Montana contributed to this year's scholarship fund.

Gasoline Raffle Again Conoco/Phillips has donated $200 worth of gas coupons for our statewide raffle. The raffle tickets are $1 each and can be purchased from any team heading to the state tournament. There will be two lucky people, Spencer Haire and Steve Lavin were the winners of $100 worth of gasoline each in the drawing at the State Tournament on April 2, 2005 in Manhattan. We thank Conoco/Phillips for helping our students reach the destinations of thier imaginations.

A BIG THANK YOU to the Dairy Farmers of Montana for their contribution to help the milk and cookies for all participants in the "chill out" rooms after Instant Challenge.  The Dairy Farmers also helped with other "Got Milk?" items at the tournaments.

Alumni: A Big thank you to all our alumni who helped with Appraising, coaching, and scoring this year.  Alumni make wonderful Appraisers since they have been on the team side too.  We'd like to start an Alumni Association in Montana of former competitors in Creative Problem Solving programs.  To do that we need to hear from you.  You've been there - you've felt the excitement - and you can share it all with the up'n comers.  More Information  Also Alumni, you should check out the Alumni page to learn about other ways you can stay involved in creative problem solving.
