• 06/15/97 Tragedy strikes, Air blockage to radiator causes overheat, not able to complete race. Place 27/27
• 07/26/97 New driver Dave Barnard qualifies 2nd at 2:26 with the Vette at Road America. His 1st time behind the wheel. (National)
• 07/27/97 New driver Dave Barnard finishes 1st National Race at Road America. Dave took a respectable 6th.
• 08/15/97 Jim puts the Vette 23/23 with a 2:25.04 at Road America Trans Am Weekend
