PLOT SYNOPSIS
". . . Pinkie Wingate [Judy Garland] - a sensitive young lady. . . is unwilling to let her widowed mother (Mary Astor) marry just anyone. . .Along with brother Billie and pal Buzz, Pinkie is determined to find a new father who the whole family can love. Having set her sights on the eligible but free-spirited Mr. Thurlow (Walter Pidgeon), Pinkie is unprepared when a new suitor (Alan Hale) enters the picture. Soon, everybody has to make some pretty big decisions about what love and happiness are really all about."
