PLOT SYNOPSIS

- Liner Notes from Turner/MGM/UA Videotape

NOTES

"Though not dissimilar in plot to Pasternak's Three Smart Girls (Universal, 1936), MGM's Three Daring Daughters had the advantage of Technicolor. . .Interesting sideline: the film was considered 'morally objectionable in part for all' by the Catholic League of Decency as it 'tended to justify as well as accept respectability of divorce."
- Clive Hirschhorn, The Hollywood Musical

"Joe Pasternak had a monstrous gift for producing relentlessly perky films for the whole family; sometimes, the damned things got to you - all those toothy smiles made you smile back. This one, though, can make you feel your jaw is wired shut. It's a musical that features the full horror of Jeanette MacDonald and Jose Iturbi; Jane Powell and Edward Arnold also traipse around."
- Pauline Kael, 5001 Nights At The Movies
