What the Scout should bring to Camp

This is only a suggested list. Check it carefully, change it as you see fit.

 

Must Have Items

  Handbook and Personal  Record
  Sleeping Bag or 3 Blankets   Flashlight and extra batteries
  Poncho or rain coat   Scout Knife (no sheath Knifes)
  Waterproof footwear   Mess Kit *
  Comfortable Hiking boots   Knife, Fork, Spoon, Cup *
  Extra shoes   Optional But Recommended :
  Summer Uniform   Pillow or Air Pillow
  Warm sweater or jacket   Air Mattress
  Clothing bag containing:   Compass
  Socks(1 pr. for each day)   Backpack
  Extra long socks   Insect Repellent
  T-Shirts   Fishing Tackle
  Underwear(1 set for each day)   Clothing repair kit
  Tissues   Bible or prayer book
  Swim Trunks **   Camera and film
  Extra Shorts   Pen, Pencil and notebook
  Extra Shirts   Canteen
  Tough long pants(jeans)   Individual First Aid Kit
  Pajamas   Merit Badge Pamphlets
  Toilet Kit Containing:   Ground Cloth
  Soap and Container   Extra Flashlight bulb
  Toothbrush and Paste   Spend Money
  Comb or Brush   Wrist Watch
  Towels   Sunglasses
  Mirror and toenail clipper   Sunscreen

* Each scout must have personal gear for cookouts

** Pack your swim trunks and towel on top; you'll need them first.

Playing Cards
Bows and Arrows
Valuable Cameras, Jewelry, etc.
Fireworks
Anything which would tend to detract from the scouting Atmosphere that should prevail in camp.
