EXOTIC MOMENT APPRAISAL
EXOTIC MOMENT is an aptly named 3/4 Russian mare with a superb pedigree. Her sire, maternal grandsire, maternal granddam's sire and third dam's sire are all National Champions in halter. She is a 50% blood sister herself to U.S. Top Ten Western Pleasure AOTR PRINCE TSAAR, who is by a *MOMENT son out of a *MARSIANIN daughter, while EXOTIC MOMENT is by *MOMENT out of a *MARSIANIN daughter.
EXOTIC MOMENT's sire *MOMENT is the 1983 Dutch Reserve National Champion Stallion. He is noted as a sire of National winners in halter and performance and a sire of National winner producers. His National winners include Canadian Top Ten Hunt Pleasure AR STEELEY DAN, Canadian Top Ten Western Pleasure AOTR and Hunt Pleasure AOTR 18©39 SH MAGIC MOMENT, Brazilian Top Ten Mare MOMENTKHA and Canadian Reserve National Champion Hunt Pleasure AOTR 40 and Over ALEKSANDR. *MOMENT's son *TSAAR sired U.S. Top Ten Western Pleasure AOTR 18-39 PRINCE TSAAR and his daughter *MUMU is the dam of U.S. Reserve National Champion Futurity Stallion MUZAC.

EXOTIC MOMENT is out of EVANGELIQUE, a full sister to 3champions: halter and english pleasure champion MOSCO, Region 9 Top Five Gelding KREMLIN, and halter champion EXOTIKA, who set a world record price at auction when she sold for $475,000 as a yearling in 1981. EVANGELIQUE is by U.S. National Champion Stallion *MARSIANIN out of a daughter of Canadian National Champion Stallion TORNADO, making her a 3/4 sister to U.S. Top Ten Futurity Filly and Western Pleasure Junior Horse MISS AMBERNADO and to DIVINE PROPHECY, sire of U.S. National Champion Hunt Pleasure JTR and Hunt Pleasure JOTR 13 and Under VA HIGH CLASS. EVANGELIQUE is also a paternal sister to 7 National winners including twice U.S. Reserve National Champion Mare MAISA EL MARS and U.S. National Champion Western Pleasure JTR and Western Pleasure JOTR 14-17 PRINCES DINEVA. EVANGELIQUE is out of halter champion MDM EVANGELINE, a paternal sister to 23 National winners including U.S. National Champion Futurity Fillies SILK N SILVER and OTHER EDEN, Canadian National Champion English Pleasure SUPREME, U.S. National Champion Hunt Pleasure KHANN, and U.S. Reserve National Champion Second Level Dressage TYFOON. MDM EVANGELINE's sire TORNADO is noted as a sire of National winner producers as well, as 28 of his get have National winning offspring, including SATIN SILVER, dam of U.S.National Champion Mare AMBER SATIN(by *MUSCAT). TORNADO is by U.S. National Champion Stallion and Park *BASK++, the breed's all time leading sire of champions. MDM EVANGELINE is out of FASEYNA, dam of 7 champions including U.S. Top Ten Trail GALLATEYNA. FASEYNA's daughter MASQUERADE(by *BASK++, and thus a 3/4 sister to MDM EVAGELINE) is the dam of Canadian National Champion English Pleasure MASTERPIECE V and Canadian Reserve National Champion English Pleasure Junior Horse KREWE. FASEYNA is by U.S. Reserve National Champion Stallion SANEYN++, a sire of National Championsin cutting and trail. FASEYNA's dam NADTIFA also produced U.S. Top Ten English Pleasure JUS ULTIMA and is a paternal sister to FERNATTA(dam of 3 National winners) and U.S. Top Ten Western Pleasure FERANAKA++(dam of 10 champions and 4 National winners).
A physical evaluation of EXOTIC MOMENT has been done using still photographs and two videos of her, one with her turned loose in a paddock and then ridden, the other with her ridden by a different rider. Although it was difficult to evaluate her legs as she did not stand still in the paddock, her forelegs seem correctly aligned from front view, and she has no lateral movement with them at any gait when in motion. EXOTIC MOMENT has a very typey head set on a well-arched neck. She has an excellent shoulder angle which enables her to move out and cover a lot of ground at all gaits. Her walk is almost catlike, it is so graceful. EXOTIC MOMENT is short-backed and has a powerful hindquarter that she uses effectively for forward propulsion. Her trot exhibits some flexion of knee and hock and would suggest hunt seat competition, be it in hunt pleasure, show hack, or dressage. Her canter is smooth and well-cadenced. In short, EXOTIC MOMENT is a top quality Arabian mare from the phenotypic standpoint.
Valuation of Arabian horses is based on both phenotype (physical appearance and athletic ability) and record in competition(if any). To the best of my knowledge, EXOTIC MOMENT has no show record at this time, so is unproven in competition. However, she has a top flight pedigree proven in production of National winners in halter and performance, excellent conformation and good athletic ability herself. In addition, her pedigree predicts future success as a broodmare producing foals of high quality as well. I therefore appraise her at $15,000.
