CONSULT FOR: SILVER DREAM DREAM is a mare of excellent type and conformation. Her strengths include a very typey head, long neck, correct legs and plume tail carriage. Her back could be a bit shorter and her neck set on a bit higher. SILVER DREAM's pedigree is linebred to RAKTHA, sire of *SILVER DRIFT and *SERAFIX, and also features close lines to other significant Crabbet horses. Historically, such mares have been highly compatible with *BASK++ and his sons, and with KHEMOSABI++++ and his sons. The nick with a stallion of the *BASK++ sire line or KHEMOSABI++++ sire line is proven in production of National winners in halter and performance. Should a saddleseat performance horse be sought, my recommendation would be to breed SILVER DREAM to a *BASK++ son whose dam side goes back to CMK foundation stock to linebreed to the bottom part of her pedigree. A good choice for her would be Canadian National Champion Park REIGN ON, who has sired National winners in saddleseat performance including NEW MARKET, and in halter including NH ESCAPADE(whose dam BRU BET BASSERA has a line to *SERAFIX, as does SILVER DREAM). REIGN ON could raise SILVER DREAM's neck set and shorten her back, while retaining her typiness and good legs. His park performance at the 1986 Scottsdale show is still the standard to which I compare all others--he was the best that day, and the performance was the best park performance I have seen. For a western/hunt seat style offspring, SILVER DREAM could ideally be bred to a KHEMOSABI++++ son, preferably one with a good head and overall smoothness and a CMK dam line. This nick would probably shorten up the back of the resultant foal, while contributing the breed type, good legs, and sweet temperament for which the KHEMOSABI++++ line is noted.
Silver Dream is owned by KpM Cornerstone Arabians
