These are ways dogs prove their beneficial relationship
with humans. From demonstrating they are well-behaved
companions to being an important part of various therapies
for people.
In a CGC test the dog will show it can meet strangers, be
well-mannered around people and distractions, and obey
simple commands.
Therapy dogs help people from autistic children to
elderly seniors in their work in hospitals, nursing homes
and more.
Several MRSSA spaniels are Canine Good Citizens and some
are registered Therapy Dogs. MRSSA usually holds a Canine
Good Citizen Test each year, and a Spaniel Olympics day of
games (see club events calendar)
to enjoy the fun of dog ownership.
