INTRODUCTION
This website is a compailation of photographs and prints, collected from various sources, showing Harrogate in the later decades of the 19th century and early decades of the 20th. As Harrogate is fortunate in already possessing excellent accounts of its past, this is not an attempt to add anything new to the history of the town, but rather to show visually the atmosphere and flavour of life in the spa in those days. It is amazing how much of the town has on a whole remained unaltered to the present day.
