Christine's Page

Hi, I'm Christine.

My interests include my family, our pets, sailing (our Tartan 37), water gardening (we now have 3 ponds) and school.

Paul
(Captain Nick)
Paul My husband, Paul, loves SAILING!
Between Memorial Day and October 31,
he can usually be found somewhere on Lake Erie in our Tartan 37, Nicknack (new boat so all the dogs can go with us!).
Look here to view Paul's Photo Gallery

Our son, Christopher, is into films, science fiction in particular.
He has his film degree and worked on the "Mothman Prophecies" starring Richard Gere, released in June, 2002

Our daughter, Shannon is in graduate school Carnegie Mellon. working on her MFA.
We now have 6 dogs.
The elders, "our girls" as they are better known are Sadie and Kahlua.
Sadie Sadie came first. She is a Dalmatian, the first chocolate (actually liver spot) I had ever seen.
She came to us when she was about 3 months old.
Sadie is most definitely "Daddy's Girl"
Daddy's Girl
For Mother's Day '98, Shannon, Sadie & I decided to find Sadie a friend. Sadie chose Kahlua, a labrador retreiver.
Naturally Kahlua is chocolate, she had to match Sadie's spots.
Kahlua

On June 25, 2001 Kahlua had 6 puppies.
The daddy is CH. Mahogany Rush's Thunder.

Two have stayed with us.
Meet Captain Nick's Chip Ahoy (aka Chip) and Captain Nick's Stormy Skye (aka Skye)at 7 weeks.

In April 2003 we added our Sloop (Captain Nick's SunDel Sloop from SunDel Kennels in Columbus, OH)
and in November 2003, when Skye had her first litter (daddy is Ch. Commander Coleridge)
we kept our Pirate (Captain Nick's Jolly Roger)!

Here they all are, ready to go SAILING!
Kahlua, Pirate, Skye, Chip, Sloop & Sadie.

These are the feline members of our family.

Pete is our Persian, born in 1991

Bandit
Bandit Flapping
Bandit is an African Grey parrot.
He arrived from Africa in 1981 and was about 4 months old when he came to our home.
Bandit is a great talker, loves to dance, and most of all seems to enjoy chasing Paul, nipping at his feet.
Bandit is a true 'Parrot Head'.
