In 1999 my nan died of cancer on july the fifth 1999. I was at my granddads
house my nan was in a hospice. we were just about to leave for the hospice
when the phone rang my grandad answered it, it was my nan we both talked
to her she sounded fine. we left the house at 2.49pm exactly and arrived
at the nearby hospice at 3.19pm after a slow walk there.when we arrived a
pale faced nurse told us the bad news of my nan. she had died. my grandad
was very shocked and upset the nurse said we tryed to contact you but your
telephone was engaged that was when it hit us me and my grandad were in total
shock just looking at each other the nurse thought something was wrong it
was silent till my grandad swalled took a deep breath and said while my phone
was engaged i was speaking on the phone so there must be a mistake the nurse
looked soooooo confused i said to her we were on the phone to her we were
talking to her she was fine then in tears i stutterd and sobbed the nurse
said mrs m.watson died at 2.04pm we said nothing more to the nurse or to
anyone else for that matter but me and my grandad know to this day we got
to talk to her for the last time so my guess she rung to say goodbye and
she was already dead.
My Ghost Story
Hello,
My name is Karen. I have a true story that happened to me. I was about 15
yrs.
old when this happened. I lived in a house that was built in the 1920's.
I had just went
to bed, and not long after i laid down, my bed started to shake. I looked
up but no
one was there. so i laid back down, and it started again. my bed shook about
5
times in a row. I sat up in bed and said quit!! and again i laid back down.
this time
i felt something jump on my bed. It flung me on to my back, sat on top of
me, held
my hands down and laughed the most evil laugh you could ever hear. then in
a split
seconed, it was gone. I still have things happen, even though i don't live
at the same
place. But i live in a double wide trailer now. I have been a widow for two
yrs. now.
i was 24 yrs. old when my husband died, but, he is still here along with
other spirits
that linger here. I am a single mother of two boys. and they have seen their
daddy
many times. But i have seen many spirits in my home. some good some bad.
But
i have gotten used to it. hope everyone had a wonderful and safe halloween.
The Headstone
It was halloween night I was taking my son and his friend to a small town
that I spent my teenage years in. We was passing the cemetary when I decided
to tell them the story of the talking headstone. I told them that if they
knocked three times on the headstone and asked what it was doing it will
say nothing. Well these two fourteen year old boys didnt believe a word of
this. So i had to prove it to them so on the way home they nicely reminded
me of the headstone. So i stopped the jeep and told them to get out and knock
on the headstone . Well my two brave men did just that i picked a headstone
next to the road. Well here they go My son knocked first and he didnt get
a response i told his friend to knock and ask. After they knocked they got
back into the jeep and i asked what did the headstone say and at the same
time they both said the same thing IT SAID NOTHING. see we do have a talking
headstone. I bet you have one in your town too.
Grandpa's Ghost?
Unfortunately, my story isn't scary if that's what you're looking for, but
to me it is rather sweet as I loved my grandpa dearly. I've always been curious
about ghosts(as I'm sure most people are)and whether they are real, but even
more so since my grandpa passed away 3 summers ago. He became suddenly ill
and shortly thereafter died. Just after his death my uncle came down from
NY for my grandpa's funeral. After the funeral he stayed with my grandma
for a few days to help her finalize things. The night my grandpa died my
uncle slept in my grandpa and grandma's bed(my grandma slept in the guest
room as I guess she couldn't bear to sleep in the bed she had shared with
my grandpa for so many years). The next day he told us he had a dream the
previous night that my grandpa came to him and told him that he had hidden
in his and my grandma's jewelry box(it is a very large jewelry box with many
drawers and hiding places) some money. When my uncle awoke the next day he
checked the jewelry box and, to his surprise, in one of the drawers he found
$200. My grandparents had always survived on very little money so this was
a blessing in disguise for my grandma. I still find myself skeptical about
ghosts but I often wonder what else could it have been? How else could my
uncle know the money was there? And now so I wonder even more if you can
experience ghostly happenings in your dreams because of a dream I had a year
ago. It was a simple dream but seemed very real. In this dream my grandpa
was standing over me(almost face to face)while I lay in bed in the early
morning as the sun was coming up. He was smiling from ear to ear and it brought
about a feeling of utter happiness in me. I immediately awoke from this wonderful
dream to tell my husband my grandpa came to visit me. There is hardly a day
that goes by that I don't think about my grandpa. It's hard to explain but
I often feel like he is there looking over the family in some form or another,
especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. My grandpa was a wonderful
man who adored children and animals and continues to be terribly missed by
all who knew him. And that is my sweet ghost story. Sistabutt@yahoo.com
