PRAYER IN TIME OF DISASTER
God and Father of us all, hear our prayer. We look to you with hope in the midst of this disaster. Bring comfort and help to all whose homes have been darkened by this tragedy. Help the injured and bereaved find solace. Raise up good men and women to offer their generous aid fully and freely and bless their efforts and strengthen their resolve. We ask you this through Christ, our Lord. Amen.
Prayer for Peace in Our Times
Give peace in our times, O Lord, because there is none otherthat fights for us, but only you, O Lord our God.
V. Peace be within your walls.
R. And abundance within your towers.
Let us pray: O God, from whom all desires, all wisdom, and all just works proceed, give to your children that peace which the world cannot give, so that our hearts may be employed to obey your commandments, and so that we who are thus delivered from the fear of our enemies, may spend our time under your protection, in rest and quietude, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Prayer for Social Justice
Lord Jesus, carpenter and king, supreme sovereign of all peoples, look with mercy and compassion on all the many peoples of our day who must endure the indignities of injustice. Raise up leaders in every time and place who are dedicated to your standards or order, equity, and justice. Grant to us, Lord Jesus, the grace to be members of your Church, and work unceasingly to fulfill our vocation in its social apostolate. Sharpen our intellects to cut through the pettiness of prejudice, to perceive the beauty of true human community. Guide ouir minds to a useful understanding of the problems of the poor, of the oppressed, of the unemployed, the marginalized, and of all in need of assistance anywhere. Guard our hearts against the subtle guile of earthly things and undue admiration for those who possess them. May we always hunger and thirst after justice. Amen.
PRAYER TO OUR LADY, QUEEN OF PEACE
Most holy Virgin, by your divine motherhood you merited a share in your Divine Son's prerogative of universal kingship, and to be called Queen of Peace. May your powerful intercession guard your people from all hatred and discord among themselves and direct their hearts in the way of peace. Your Son came to teach us this way for the good and well-being of all. Enlighten thr rulers of our countries on earth to follow the path to peace. Grant that there may be peace in our hearts, in our families, and in our world. Amen.

Lord Make me an instrument of they peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
Where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not seek so
much to be consoled as to console,
to be understood as to understand,
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive.
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
