Prayer to the Good Shepherd
Lord Jesus, you who are shepherd of your people, remember especially in loving mercy ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, and all our beloved departed, marked with the sign of faith, who have gone before us. You are the Good Shepherd who has laid down your life for us, your sheep. We entrust to your tender care and guidance all those we so dearly love. You are our risen Lord, our hope of glory. You know your own, and your own know you. Bring all those we love to everlasting life with you in heaven. For we believe in the resurrection of the body and in life everlasting. Amen.

Our Lord told St. Gertrude the following prayer would release 1,000 souls from Purgatory each time it is said.
Eternal Father , I offer thee the most precious blood of thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, those in my own home and within my family. Amen.

Lord, for those dying unprepared, I offer you in union with Mary and with St. Joseph the Holy Masses being celebrated today all over the world.
O Jesus, our Redeemer, through the Holy Masses offered this day and through the Intercession of Mary, assist in Your mercy those dying suddenly at this moment.
