are! Baja Tropicales, outfitter and tour operator, right on the beach at
Playa Santispac, Palapa #17, on beautiful Conception Bay, 12 miles south
of the magic of Mulege. You can get here by car or bus by traveling 600
miles down the transpeninsular highway. Or by plane out of Los Angeles
to Loreto and back up to us by taxi or bus. This is the home of the famous
the "Paddle, Snorkel, Dive and Dine" one day Sea of Cortez
orientation. To ensure you and your party have a truly memorable experience,
whether you are a beginner or expert, we recommend this orientation which
includes kayak instruction, Baja "Do's and Don'ts," natural history,
visits to islands, reefs and hot springs, snorkeling for shellfish and
a delicious seafood meal with beverages. Use this orientation as a prelude
to saving some big bucks and becoming your own guide to get off on your
own for some incredible kayak camping. Besides helping you get outfitted,
we'll help you map out routes and overnight stops within your level of
expertise. A little about Baja Tropicales
Baja Tropicales, the oldest year-around kayak tour operator in Baja, evolved
out of a seed first planted 27 years ago. In all of that time the Mulege
area has remained pristine and relatively unchanged compared to the rest
of the world. Roy Mahoff and Becky Aparicio, the owners and operators,
have evolved with Baja Tropicales to become amateur naturalists and self
appointed, conservators of the area. Very soon Roy and Becky will be launching
a new project called EcoMundo (EcoWorld in English), an EcoTourism, Educational
Resource Center with an emphasis on teaching sustainable living practices
and conservation to help protect pristine environments such as this for
