Brown Ales:
Traditional sweet brewing style of Britain. A dark colored beer considered by many to be the
bottled equivalent of mild ale, although sweeter and fuller bodied. Traditional brown ales
are lightly hopped and are flavored and colored with roasted and caramel malts.
- Balboa Brown Ale
- Balboa Brown is a slightly sweetier ale that is hopped just right to give a nice bitter
flavor and flowery aroma. If you are looking for a milder brown, such as Newcastle, take some
hop out and add some sweeter ingredients.
- British Brown Ale
- British Brown Ale is light on bitterness but strong on finishing hop using the powerful
Galena and Nugget hops. The color is lighter brown than you might expect. This all extract brew
is compared with Toby Brown of Britain.
- Old Town Brown Ale
- Old Town Brown Ale is a staple beer for many of our brewers. The mild hopping offers a
smooth brew for a wide range of beer drinkers. Our Newcastle style beer.
- Harbortown Dark
- This malty dark ale has a bitter kick due to the Bullion hop. The black patent grain
lends a beautiful color as well. This is a fairly hearty alle to warm you during the cold rains
