Porters:
Dark, well hopped & blended, roasty tasting. A somewhat bitter, very dark, almost black beer
first brewed by a man named Harwood in Shoreditch, London in 1730. It was called Entire and
was advertised as being richer and more nourishing than ale. It was intended for porters,
carters, and other heavy laborers who would find in it strength to accomplish tasks that no
other spirit drinker could perform.
- Pipeline Porter(Can easily be converted to a Honey Porter)
- If you desire to brew a darker style, this is one of our best recipes. Pipline Porter
incorporates one of our largest grain mashes. The crystal and wheat malts provide sweetness
while roasted barley and black malt contribute to color and body. A generous amount of hops
makes this brew a genuine palate pleaser.
