The Museum collects, organizes, stores and displays documents, pictures,memorabilia and models of the people, products and buildings of the Erie Plant of the General Electric Company from its planning stage in 1906 to the present.It was initiated as a project of a group of GE retirees and members of the General Electric Elfun Society and has financial assistance and housing in the Community Center of GE Transportation Systems,Erie, Pennsylvania. GETS Included in the exhibits are photographs of the early constructionin the residential Township of Lawrence Park which was begun in 1911 and has grown as the Company grew.
