once again be hosted at the NAS Oceana Officer's Club. Tentative plans

Virginia Beach High School Reunion - ALL CLASSES
The VBHS All Classes Reunion 2000 is now history, and what a wonderful event it was! Class of 1980 Reunion News
Dear Fellow Classmates,
Our reunion is less than 6 months away and it is time to iron out some
details. At the Saturday night event we will have memorabilia tables around
the room. Any group or organization can sign up for one of these tables. The
tables will serve as a place to display memorabilia and also as a place
where people who shared a common interest can get together. So far we are
going to have a table for Band and a table for AP History. Each group who
signs up for a table should have a table coordinator. This person will be
responsible for setting up the table and for picking up any items on display
at the end of the evening. Items for the table can be collected by table
coordinators at the Friday night happy hour. If you plan to contribute items
to a table make sure the items are clearly marked with your name and phone
number. At a minimum each table should include a sign with the group name
and a message board where group members can sign in and leave messages for
others. If the group wants to assemble for a picture the picture time can be
posted on the board. If you would like to be a table coordinator please

I will post group names and coordinators on this page as I receive them.

Class of 1969 Thirtieth Reunion
The class of 1969 held their 30 year reunion at The Double Tree Hotel on September 25, 1999.
Some of you have already heard about the 50th (Ouch!) Birthday Bash being planned. Right now we're looking at the third week of June, 2001. This way we hope to accomodate people from out of town who have kids in school. We need your help in locating lost classmates. Class of 1979 Twentieth Reunion
Our reunion was held on the weekend of August 14, 1999. Our reunion went well. Despite the fierce Summer thunderstorm, we had in excess of 200 people attend. I think all that attended had a good time. There was a Memories book prepared by First Class Reunions, but it does not lend itself to posting on the site. Everybody that talked to me liked your site! Thank you for providing such a wonderful FCHS Alumni communications vehicle. It helps those that are distant still feel like they are in touch and was a tremendous help with our reunion.

Class of '68 Reunion
The Class of '68 30 year reunion is now history, and it will certainly provide wonderful
memories for those of us who were able to attend. Many thanks to Margaret Addenbrook Zontini
and all who participated on the reunion committee. Their hard work resulted in a very special
reunion. For my part, I had a great time renewing old friendships. From our Friday night
gathering at Fat Daddy's to the reunion at the Oceana Officer's Club to our Sunday brunch at
Henry's on Shore Drive, everything went perfectly and provided plenty of time to visit with
old friends and "catch up" on all the news. I will admit that my memory
was "stretched" a bit and I can't party quite as hard as I once could. I also noticed that
the volume level in nightclubs seems much louder, or my tolerence level is much lower (probably
the latter). Nevertheless, I believe that all in attendance will remember this event fondly. I
can't wait til the next one!

This web site is awesome! I am very impressed. Thank you Lyle Piner for putting in the
time to get it up and running. Just great seeing so many at the reunion. I wish more of those
that live at the Beach came for the fun, too. Don't they understand it doesn't matter what
they look like, or where they are in their own life cycle. Our formative years at FCHS are
what bind us together. We are all in our forties.....middle age...and it is great to look
back and look forward..... We are mature and I think with maturity comes understanding and
appreciation for life itself!

Class of '88 Reunion
Just a note about the Class of '88 reunion. We had a great turn-out and
a wonderful time. If I could remember it all, I'd share more about it.
However, I found the classmates to be absolutely wonderful. I heard
rumors about ten year reunions. I am proud to say my classmates proved
the rumors to be wrong.
Thank you so much for allowing me to post my First Colonial Class of '88
web page on your web site. I will continue to keep the page up for
classmates to be able to contact each other. Hope your reunion is as
great as ours was!

The FC 1988 reunion was a blast (or at least I thought so)! Seeing
everyone was great. Turn out was approx. 200. Realized that I can't
party half as much as I used to! We hired a reunion company to find
everyone and they did a great job....would recommend them again.
Wish I time to write more, but work is calling.

The Class of 1975 decided at their 20 year reunion that it was so
much fun, we'd do it again to celebrate 25 years in the year
2000!!! I'll have more details in the future. Also, some of my
students formed the Student 31st street Oceanfront Park Committee
to try and save that property for an open,grassy park space. They
petitioned, mass mailed 3000 signed letters from VB residents to
city council,and wrote letters to the editor. The council has not
made a definite decision but is expected to put a hotel,
restaurant, Dairy Queen and park all on this property. Had the
students of First Colonial done nothing, the park would not have
happened at all! We still have a lot of GREAT kids at F.C. !!!
