WELCOME TO THE MOUNTVIEW HOTEL!
From the moment you stand at the front door of The Mountview Hotel to admire the summit of Cairngorm, you know you are in the perfect place to enjoy the Scottish Highlands. Glorious views of three mountain ranges and the forest of Abernethy frame the landscape, and this comfortable Country House Hotel is a wonderful place to relax.
The Mountview is a traditional Highland hotel, tastefully refurbished to the highest three star standard, and full of original features and character. Residents enjoy comfortable en-suite accommodation, with colour TV and hospitality tray in all rooms. Modern comforts and the charm of the Hotel are combined with traditional Highland hospitality, and our extensive menu is popular for both dinner and bar meals.
All food is prepared from the finest fresh produce, locally sourced where possible, and cooked to order by our experienced kitchen team.
The Mountview is a popular venue for functions, and can host up to sixty people. The Hotel is open all year, and parties are welcome.
Our lounge bar features a good selection of draught beers, fine wines and malts, and we also have our own unique range of bottled real ales.
OLD HENRY ALE celebrates a local rogue Capercaillie, famous for defending his territory against all comers. PTARMIGAN LAGER is best consumed cold, as the name suggests, and WEE CRESTIE packs a powerful punch!
Nethybridge is the perfect centre for activities, from climbing to fishing, birdwatching and golf. The ski slopes of Cairngorm can be seen from the Hotel, and we are centrally placed for easy access to any part of the Highlands. Aberdeen is less than two hours by road, Glasgow and Edinburgh less than three hours. We are ten miles north-east of Aviemore, and thirty miles south of Inverness.
Above all, The Mountview Hotel is the perfect base from which to appreciate the splendour of the Scottish Highlands. Close to transport links, but located in the beautiful, quiet village of Nethybridge, you will find the ideal surroundings and scenery for a wonderfully relaxing holiday.
