In a historic district of New Orleans, 20 blocks from the fringe of the French Quarter in an area called the "Faubourg St. John", is a spacious efficiency apartment. It is located to the rear of the main house, an 1890 Victorian Cottage.

    This accommodation is within walking distance of City Park, New Orleans Museum of Art, St. Louis Cemetery, Bayou St. John and several old plantation homes. Restaurants are in close vicinity, one of which is rated in the top 10 in the city.

    The efficiency consists of a double bed, double sofa bed, kitchenette ( no stove), and a large private bath, color television, air conditioning and heat. There is a private entrance and off street parking. Add to this a pleasant outdoor sitting area under a large pecan tree and a most convivial hostess.

    Your complimentary continental breakfast is served in the dining room of the main house, or breakfast can be put in the refrigerator for those who like to sleep late.

    Located 1 block from public transportation that will take you to the fringe of the French Quarter or directly to Canal Street in about 15 minutes.

    Rates are $75.00 for double occupancy plus $20.00 for each additional guest. Special event prices are a bit higher. No smoking.

One room, called the Azalea Room is available in this private home. It consists of two single beds, a private bath, and is furnished with some antiques. All rooms in the main house have hardwood floors. There are antiques in the living room, dining room and center hall. No smoking in home.

    Public transportation is one block away and will take you to the French Quarter or Canal Street in about 15 minutes.
