Friends Of Nafferton School (or F.O.N.S) is a charity affilliated to the parent and teacher association of England and Wales, and is registered under the charities act.
Our mission is to raise funds to buy items or supplies the school could not usually afford from their allocated budget.
For example F.O.N.S reciently bought balls and hoops and bats for playtimes. This fund raising is on going, the more we raise the more the children benefit.

THE KING OF REDONDA'S PRIZE FOR LITERATURE.

I have been fortunate enough to have contact with the king of REDONDA (via one of his knights), and he has agreed to donate the above prize in the form of a book token, at the end of the school year.
This will be judged and presented by his highness (engagements allowing) along with certificates for runner's up. F.O.N.S will fund a plaque, to be engraved and retained at the school. The first award to be in 2002.

Design a christmas calendar.
This will be printed, for sale, next year featuring the childrens designs!

The ADULT disco will be on 9th March 2002 at the village hall, with a 70's and 80's theme, from 8pm to midnight, with bar (of course). Our D.J for the evening is Mike St John, who used to wwork as a D.J on radio Caroline.
Tickets are £2 available by returning the slip on the letter, or send the dosh with the children to the school reception.

A talent evening has been proposed for April/May. So get practicing.

The school is having an open afternoon on 12th July, with refreshments and stalls. Please support the children who will be running the stalls.
