HISTORY


The Native American Producers Alliance (NAPA) was organized to promote and support Native American Producers, Directors, Writers, Technicians and Talent at the Deadwood Film Festival in January of 1993. This acknowledges the foundations that had been established at the 1990 Sante Fe Producers Conference and two meetings that followed at the 1991 and 1992 Two Rivers Film Festival in Minneapolis. NAPA is a not for profit organization and has non-profit status.


MISSION STATEMENT


The Native American Producers membership is organized to create and support productions which invest in equitable economic opportunities for Native film and television producers, directors. writers, technicians and talent within the context of ensuring the integrity of the Native American perspective, by involving Native Americans at key positions in productions about Native Americans.


NAPA INFORMATION


Information about NAPA includes films/videos produced by members, member director, newsletter info, membership information.

The active membership consists of emerging and established writers, directors and producers who represent approximately 36 tribes. We as NAPA welcome you whether as an active or non-active member, native or non-native person and wish to support NAPA in its efforts.
