A STATEMENT
I Love to walk. I Love to travel. I don't go out especially to take pictures, but I
always take my camera with me, whether I'm going to Paris or the corner store.
My photographs are simply inobtrusive observations between point "A" and point
"B". I don't look for anything in particular; I just react to what I feel is visually
significant, but most importantly there must be a photographic significance.
A photograph must have a reason for being other than the photographer's
self-indulgence dependent upon the viewer's gullibility. The rest is just
composition, timing and a familiarity with one's tools and materials.
I don't have any mystical incantations, elaborate instructions or historical
justifications to aid in or create an appreciation of my work; the viewer is
commended to his or her perceptions. Trust your perceptions. Don't let
anyone tell you what you should or shouldn't like.
