"To create an environment to advance the Naval Law Enforcement field that provides excellent networking opportunities, training and information "
The network as we know it today was created in February 1997 and started off with only 2 members. Today we have over 1000 members spanning over several different agencies and branches including: Navy, Marines, Army, Coast Guard, NCIS, DoD, Civilian law enforcement agencies, and more. We receive about one new member per day!
Membership is not required to use the NAVCOPS Network website. The website is open for all to enjoy and learn from. However, membership has been a very popular feature of our network. With the membership option you open up even more networking opportunities and receive special email publications! ^return to top
Finding what you want
Our website is broken into four (4) easy to use main areas:
Membership - Go here to join the network or update your membership information.
Information - From information about your job, training opportunities, training articles, legal resources...it's all here. The Information and Training Area.
Networking - Without this area, the network would be useless. From message boards to conference rooms online, this is where you go to talk with everyone! Network Store (SHOP) - Find out where to get law enforcement supplies and visit our special area where we sell naval law enforcement supplies (which help us support the website and network)! ^return to top

Well, if you're not using Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or 5.0, we'd say no because we use Dynamic HTML and would like to expand on other new web technologies in the near future.
Occasionally mistakes will appear on our website or in our email. This is not intentional. We appreciate any help you can provide in correcting us as soon as you notice the mistake. Our goal is 100% accuracy, but unlike our machines, we're human.
To stay abreast of the latest in Naval Law Enforcement, many have already made the networks 'frontpage' their 'start page' when they start their internet browser. Although all browsers are different, you can usually enter the 'URL' of our frontpage in the 'preferences' option.
For Microsoft Internet Explorer: Go to "VIEW", then "INTERNET OPTIONS" (you can also go to your control panel and choose 'INTERNET" ), you can then enter our URL in the box or for IE 4.0 users, click the 'Use current' button.
