Foreword

What you hold in your hand is far more than a collection of poetry. It is a personal, artisitic expression of respect and admiration that transcends words. It evokes real, honest emotion and at the same time, it offers a remarkable insight into Alan Kulwicki--not Alan Kulwicki the race driver, but Alan Kulwicki the man.

It matters little if you, the reader, knew Alan Kulwicki. I encourage you to read this work quietly and carefully. Two things will happen. You will learn more about him than you might have thought possible. And your memory, charged by the eloquence and power of the words, will remind you that you, too, once shared a similar distinctive, special relationship with someone.

"The Kulwicki Chronicles" is a marvelous way to pay tribute to a champion no longer with us. It brings him back to us in a unique way through the talent of a gifted writer, who bares her deepest personal feelings. It is a talent Alan himself realized and admired.

...Please take the time to absorb the words on these pages. Then pause. And remember.
