ENDLESS STAIR

I have to confess, this pattern is most impressive when it is done in two colors. But it can also be a good way of using dark and light scraps.

The basic Endless Stair unit is a square that is half light, half dark:

Make four of these units to make a block, alternating horizontal and vertical center seams. For the stair illusion to work, the dark section of the square must be on the bottom of all horizontal units and the right side of all vertical units.
