Campaign Pledge

All our events will be written before the start of the season and fully prepared, complete with fleshed out NPCs and appropriate props.  Never will we run any "save the world" plotlines and all of our villains will be designed to fit into the flow of the campaign plot.  None will ever make a sudden appearance, get defeated, and then vanish to never be heard from again.  In addition, there will never be plots that change history or that are designed to make any of our NPCs more powerful.

No plot will force a player to change race, class, or skills in part or whole.  While plots may provide players the opportunity to accomplish these things through the formal magic system, we will not make them just happen to the PCs.

We will not use the ability dragon magic against PCs.  At best, such things may occur offboard or in tales but none of our players will ever face a ritual effect that is delivered as battle magic.

If any player(s) figure a way through our plots, we will let them do it and will  never write around a clever idea from the players in order to keep a plotline alive and unchanged.  In addition, if a plotline is not providing entertainment to the players, we will wrap up the loose ends on it quickly and shelve it even if it has not yet reached its intended conclusion.

Racially oriented plotlines will be designed such that they will not require a group involved to be exclusively of one race.

No variant rules will be used, only strict 7th edition rules with such national playtests as Cantrips.

The National Monster Manual will be used.  Any new monsters will have stats designed and approved in advance, never on the fly on a weekend or at an event.  No new monster abilities will be used, only core monster abilities.  Nationally accepted abilities such as Return Magic and Damage Cap will be in use even though they are not yet in the current edition of the rules.  A listing of nationally approved monster abilities will be made available to the players at each event.

If we design a unique monster, there will not be multiple numbers of that monster for scaling purposes.

No monster shall be used which we cannot phys rep.  This means no giants and the like.  Multi-NPC monsters will require a form of costume which holds them together properly.

Finally, cheating will be reviewed and dealt with immediately, whether it involves PC, NPC, or staff member.  Any concerns and/or complaints can be directed to any staff member of NERO Neridia.
