SPECTAR                             PETG

Mfg by :  Eastman Chemical Company
A transparent copolyester with very high impact resistance, SpectarŽ sheet is the brand name for extruded Polyethleneterephtalate Glycol (PETG) copolyester sheet. The Spectar sheet programme offers solutions to both indoor and outdoor (UVP-version) applications. In addition to the clear and the opal versions, a variety of colours and designs to suit a wide range of design requirements are available.

Spectar sheet has good optical properties and brilliant surface. The spectar sheet range contains sheets that are easy to fabricate, to vacuum form, and show an exceptional low temperature performance.

Important benefits of spectar sheet are its very good chemical resistance and very high impact properties.

Spectar sheet meets all current food contact legislation and can be used in contact with food. The UV Grade is not intended for food contact and is therefore not covered by this warranty.

Spectar sheet also combines the following excellent properties

Easy to vacuum form, need no predrying
Exceptional low temperature performance
Low water absorption
Easy to recycle
Very high impact properties

Applications

Bus shelters (UV-version), poster glazing, machine guards, medical appliance package, displays, refrigerators and cold storeroom equipment, bicycle safety helmets, food containers, lenticular lenses / graphic arts, lighting controllers for hazardous areas.
