I have only been in office for about 30 days and have spent a lot of time at the Borough Hall and, would like to thank everyone for allowing me to serve as your Mayor.
It is very interesting and, I am working with the Engineer to correct some drainage problems on South Club and Little Mill Roads.
I have attended many meetings, and I am aware that we need volunteers to serve on committees. If anyone is interested, please call 783-7400 ext.. 215.
October is a busy month. We have Fire Prevention with a contest for school children where three bikes will be given away as prizes. These bikes were donated by the volunteer firemen. On October 30th we will have Fright Night at the Boy Scout Reservation with a Magic Show and balloons for the children from 1:30 until 3:00 PM. Please try to be on time or, you will miss the Magic Show.
Councilman Del Rossi and I have given a computer to each Senior Citizen Group - 12th Avenue and the Mansions and, will have a volunteer to work with them on the computers with introduction of Windows 95.
The Fire Commission will be purchasing a new ambulance to replace the one that was damaged in August. We hope to have this up and running by the 15th of October.
