My stepfather, Harry, loves a big
breakfast in the morning. This SOS is one of his specialities. I can't eat SOS
without thinking fondly of Harry.
Harry's SOS
1 - 1 1/2 pounds bulk sausage -- (or hamburg)
1/4 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon sage
1 cup flour
2 1/2 cups water
2 cups milk
warm biscuits
Brown meat. Put seasonings in after meat is browned.
Mix flour in so it is very dry. Add water and stir. Add milk and stir. Stir every little
while to let it thicken. Let it boil gently for five minutes and serve over warm biscuits.
