2(B) Nikken-like womanizing activity of Shinryo: "Osage Watashi" and hidden child (p 52-65)

In March 1973, Shinryo was appointed as a Chief priest of Shin-enji in Saga. He went there with newly-wed Natsuko. Years went by. Shinryo bacame 30 years old, and got three children one after another. The temple flourished by the sincere offerings from Soka Gakkai. Everything was going great! That's the time when devil started taking action.

His urge for women started driving him nuts. He started chasing hostesses and prostitutes. He could not do at his own town. So Shinryo went to "Nakasu",a famous red-light town in Hakata which was located about one hour ride by Express train. He learned every thing from Nikken while Shinryo was at Heianji in Kyoto for over a decade: how to play with women, how to cheat wife, and how to create money and time to play with women. Shinryo had such a corrupted life in Saga for six-and-a-half years.

In July 1979, Shinryo got a good luck. 66th High priest, Nittatsu died, and Nikken became 67th high priest. Nikken suddenly ordered Shinryo to be the chief priest of Renjyo-bo temple in Taisekiji. The reason was that Nikken favored Natsuko so much that he wanted bring them back to Taisekiji.

Renjyo-bo is a prestegious temple at which Nichijun Fujimoto (current General Administrator) had been the chief priest. Since Nikken moved from Jyosenji to Taisekiji, Fujimoto was transferred to Jyosenji, and subsequently, Shinryo took the post in Renjyobo. Actually, Shinryo was very lucky, because such a temple shoud be occupied by his seniors, such as Shinho Yagi of the Internal Division Chief. But Nikken gave Shinryo a special promotion, because of Natsuko.

Shinryo has two faces. During the day he shows a loyal face as a "Treasurer", but at night he changed his face to a endless women chaser. He has the "Jekyll and Hyde" like characters. However, Taisekiji is not an outlying area like Saga Prefecture in Kyushu. There are so many people watching him. He cannot go out too often.

At that time, Shinryo noticed "Y" who was working at his temple. Sinryo found a convenient solution! He initiated a relationship with her. Soon, Shinryo started his new "Hobby." He took their own picture by an instant camera while they are having a sex at Y's room. It happened that one of these porno photos was found by a female employee at Shinryo's room. Shiryo came in and saw that the employee was watching that porno photo of Shinryo and "Y." Shinryo was so embarassed. He sat down on the floor by touching his head to the Tatami mat and begged her, " Please...Please do not tell my wife!"

Well, Shinryo succedded to make Y as his "Osage Watashi" to Kendo, a younger brother of Natsuko. Since Kendo was under the direct supervision of Natsuko, and since Kendo was already in Nichiren Shoshu priesthood and knew the significance of "Osage Watashi," he accected this Nichiren Shoshu tradition of "Osage Watashi." They married in 1982, and soon Kendo left for Hokoji in Kokura city, Kyosu as a chief priest.

Everything seemed to be finished and calmed down. However, Shinryo again started to have a new relationship with "S", a Hokkeko member in Tokyo. Soon, Natsuko found out this new relationship. Natsuko screamed, "You got a relationship with non-profession woman!!" She screamed, Shinryo slapped her face, Natsuko threw things to him.....Their quarel became so famous to everyone in Taisikiji.

In Nichiren Shoshu, to have a relationship with professional women, such as Geisha girls, prostitutes or hostesses, is not a shameful act. Everybody does it. Some of High Priests were good at it. Actually, it is the symbol of power and money as a male priest. But to have a relationship with non-professional woman could still be criticized as an act of destroying family.

Finally Natuko left home with her children, but could not forgive Shinryo. She came back home early in the morning and banged the temple door. It became a topic for entire priesthood. However, Shinryo continued to meet "S because he cannot forget this young charming girl, "S."

At that time, Renjobo had a Tokyo office for the convenience of Hokkeko members in Tokyo. Shinryo went to the office several times a month for giving Oko lecture and for other meetings. Tokyo Hokkeko members were very happey and impressed with Shinryo's kindness. But the truth of the matter was that Shinryo commuted to Tokyo to have a date with "S."

However, Shinryo had to hide this from other priests and also from Soka Gakkai members. So, he rent a gorgeous mansion in Akasaka in Tokyo, the price was over $3,000 month. This place was found by Akira Tanihira (see Chapter 1(D) of this book.) Two gorgeous living rooms, a kitchen, a double bed and a modern sofer....Shinryo had endless money because of sincere offerings from Soka Gakkai. He bought S's favor and interest with money. He kept bringing her gifts - Expensive neckless, rings, watch, dresses and so on.

However, Natsuko's instinct as a woman saw through what's going on. She felt something fishy when her husband goes to Tokyo. He looks so happy, but is hiding something...... Finally, Natsuko detected the location of the love affair of her husband. One summer everning, Natsuko accompanied Shiryo's elder brother, Eijun Ishii, and his wife Tsuneko as witnesses, and broke into the Akasaka mansion. The place changed into a fighting scene. Screaming and shouting, yelling and cries!

Shinryo had to cancel the mansion. But Shinryo did not give up. They kept meeting using a room of expensive hotel in Tokyo, such as "Teikoku Hotel", "Sunshine Prince Hotel" and "Hotel New Ootani", the cost of which was over $1,000 per night. Whenever Shinryo wanted to see her, he makes a silent phone call at "S" exactly 12:00 noon, but no words. This is a sign! Then, S return a call at Shinryo's office in the Internal Affairs Division to make an arrangement. Finally, the romance came to an shocking end. S got pregnant!

Shinryo was so embarrassed. If a baby was born outside of his marriage, he might lose his position as a treasurer. S was kept accusing him. But Shinryo cannot allow her to have a baby. "S" started seriously thinking to commit a suicide. It seemed the end of the world to Shinryo. He finally consulted Hisako, mother-in-law of Akira Tanihira. Hisako worked as a manager of a love hotel "Fuyoso" for many years. She is an expert of man-woman relationship. She became a friend of "S" and persuaded her to have and abortion. S agreed. Hisako took her to a hospital and arranged for the operation.

Now, this time, Shinryo was supposed to have learned a lesson, because it became very expensive. (See for the details in Chapter 1(D) of this book.) But he hasn't. He started a relationship again with a new maid of Renjyo-bo, named "K." Renjyo-bo needed a maid because so much house work was required. This time, Shinryo was successfully transferred her as another "Osage Watashi" to his junior. Is everything finished? We don't know. It looks that a problem seems to exist!

On 8 June 1964, a green deluxe car with Tokyo lisense plate parked at an expensive hotel in Nagaoka, Izu, and Shinryo, "K" and a 3 years old girl came out. They visit this hotel frequently, and Shinryo loves this girl. The rumor says that this girl is Shinryo's hidden daughter, and Shinryo maintained the relationship after he gave her to his junior as "Osage Watashi." He and K still continue to have a relation!

A testimony of a Taisekiji priest: "A sinful priest like Shiryo sits as a member of the Board of Directors of Taisekiji! There is no future for Nichiren Shoshu! It is also Nikken's responsibility to keep Shinryo in the most important position of the priesthood in Taisekij!.
