Nitewind English Springer Spaniels

We began our journey over 20 years ago with our first springer "Clark". Although he never was to do well in the ring, he was exceptional at babysitting my daughter and all puppies that came after. We remember all that he taught us about the value of a wonderful companion. He remains our model for springer behavior. Big shoes to fill, but we accept nothing less!

Ch. Ridgewyn's Great Expectation

I bought "Ashley" as a puppy. It was a litter sired by "Jackson"(Ch. Springerlane's Ridgewyn's) bred to "Rachel"(Ridgewyn's Rachel Rachel) when Jackson was 7 months old. We had no idea he would become so prominent a producer or show dog then. Ashley was my first Champion, finished by Gary Zayac. She was my shadow and a wonderful mother. One of her son's (Merlyn) is listed below. We lost her many years ago, but still think of her often.

Ch. Deckhand Nitewind Navigator CD, CGC.

"Miles" was placed with us by Sharon Peterson. I took him from beginning to end owner handled and learned what it meant to campaign a dog. He is the sweetest dog always with a big smile on his face. Putting a CD on him was another new accomplishment. I finally learned what it meant to become a team with your dog in the ring and out.

Miles is currently enjoying life as a playmate for several wonderful children and a loving family. He takes it all in stride with a smile and patience!

CH. CJay & Nitewinds Dam'D Straight CGC

This was our "resident Queen",Elle. She was an "Eli" daughter out of "(CH. Caran C-Jay's Blame it on Rio CDX)" She was very "pattern challenged", had tons of ticking which doesn't show here and was tri-factored to boot! How about a challenge in the ring??? However, she had breathtaking movement, Clear Eyes, OFA "Excellent" hips, a scissors bite and was Thyroid and PFK normal.

We lost her several years ago, but think of her often.

Nitewind's Camelot CD CGC

This was our returning Sweetheart, Merlyn. He is out of Ch. Dalin's Black Magic and Ch. Ridgewyn's Great Expectation. He returned to us to be Lindsey's dog after my niece grew up and he needed a new "girl" to follow around.

Merlyn sired Elle's litter from May of '00. He completed his Companion Dog title with one High in Trial. Merlyn gets along with everyone and everything. He was truly a joy to have as part of the family. His kids remain wonderful companions.

Ch. Dalin's Nitewind Hart to Hart

This is our current resident springer, Carly. She has been loving placed with us by our dear friend, Linda Fong. We can't thank her enough for her faith in allowing her to live here. She is pictured here handled by her other mom, Linda. We had fun sharing all of the moments together with all of our springer friends, both 2 and 4 legged!
