My Fiberfab Avenger

How I bought it

After searching the web for a Ferrari Look -alike and not liking the price of copies, I found a small group of guys interested in this car that was very popular in the 60's. It's based on a vw or corvair chassis, looks pretty cool and is fairly easy to modify and cheap!

What I'm doing with it.

I found it on the web, down in Virginia and planned to get started right away. Instead, I ended up tearing the body off, replacing the floor, and reinforcing everything from there on up. It doesn't look like a lot of progress but there is a lot of work involved. So far I fixed:
New fuel cell and complete fuel line
New steering column
Wheels and tires
Relocated battery
Removed body,Replaced floor plans,refinish frame
Reinforced body and hinges-1/8" plate steel
Installed rollbar
New headlights-2000 Taurus
Cut a hood opening, fabbed hinges and latch
Made scoop in hood behind radiator.

Plans from here on in.

Well I painted it finally. It's red metalflake with red candy on top. It's good enough to finish the car then I may redo it. This winter will bwe time to get it running and working well.
