A contemporary of Fani, Hasrat Mohani and Jigar Muradabadi, Asghar Gondavi's style resembled Mir Dard. His poetry reflects the purity of his thoughts. Only two small collections of his poetry have been published. However, there is nothing redundant about his writings.
